ISEC evo applies a careful treatment to ensure high recycled pellet quality meeting the rigorous standards of the North American market. The more gently a plastic recycling machine processes the material, the higher the quality of the recycled pellets.
Thanks to the conical transition from the single-shaft shredder to the extruder, the material is compacted, and oxygen is reduced. Working together with the double feed ram system, this technology also ensures continuous and uniform filling of the extruder. That is how our plastic recycling machine ensures high recycled pellet quality.
ISEC evo (Integrated Shredder Extruder Combination evolution) is a unique plastic recycling machine. The combination of shredder and extruder ensures higher throughput and cost efficiency. In Pure Loop's system, the shredder and extruder are configured on one drive shaft. In cooperation with the double feed ram system, this technology ensures maximum flexibility and consumes significantly less energy.
The single-shaft shredder (1) reduces the size of the material fed into the system. The process is controlled by the patented double feed ram pusher system (2). The double feed ram system fills the extruder evenly and continuously. It enables various materials to be processed.
Material that is preheated during upstream processing is conveyed directly to the extruder (3) powered by the same drive shaft. The conical transition from the single-shaft shredder to the extruder compacts the material, reduces oxygen and plasticizes the material in the extruder. The melt is degassed in the degassing zone (4). In the subsequent, fully automatic, self-cleaning filter (5) any solid contaminants are removed from the melt which is conveyed to the pelletizing system (6).
The combination of double feed ram system and single shaft shredder forms a unique technology. It guarantees high flexibility and makes the ISEC evo a material all-rounder.

Do I need a plastic shredder to use the ISEC evo?
No, an additional plastic shredder is not required. The ISEC evo includes an integrated single-shaft shredder that handles various sizes and shapes of materials. Learn more about the construction of the plastic recycling machine here.
How does the plastic extruder in the ISEC evo work?
The core of the machine is the conical transition from the shredder to the extruder, where plastic particles are compacted and preheated. In the extruder, the melt is advanced, degassed, and conveyed to filtration.

Which applications is the system not suitable for?
The shredder-extruder combinations handle hygroscopic materials up to 4 % moisture. They are not suitable for recycling wetter plastics like post-consumer materials. The addition of powdery substances such as CaCO3 (Calcium Carbonate) in large quantities is also not possible on such a machines with a single screw.
A maximum of 2% of powdery substances can be dosed on a shredder-extruder combination. A twin-screw extruder/compounding machine is required for dosing larger quantities.

Can mixed fibres be processed on the plastic recycling machine?
This depends on the blend:
✔ Mixtures of polyester, nylon, polypropylene, TPU, TPE, and elastane can be processed and reused in injection moulding.
X Mixtures of PET, PA, PP with cotton or acrylic are not feasible; natural fibres do not melt and can easily burn or clog the filtration system.
